[MR] BBC: Viking Sunstone Found?

Noble Friends, Especially The Vikings in our Midst,

BBC is reporting that a "sunstone" crystal, similar to those possibly used by Vikings as a navigational aid, has been discovered in a medieval shipwreck off Alderney: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21693140 . If this can be proven, it is a very significant find, both for understanding both Viking and medieval navigation.
