and Etain, the Triton Principal Herald, the Atlantian College of

Greetings from Lord Cian mac Cellacháin hUí Dubhlaich, Gordian Knot
Pursuivant herald, and herald of record for the morning Baronial Court
from the Nottinghill Coill Baronial Birthday and Investiture in
February, AS 47.
At the celebration of Nottinghill Coill's Baronial Birthday and
Investiture, held in the Barony of Nottinghill Coill on February 23,
2013, also known as Anno Societatis 47, Their Excellencies Geldamar and
Etain, Baron and Baroness of Nottinghill Coill, did process for the
final time into court behind Their Majesties Vladimir and Kalisa
Their Majesties did open a Royal Court, which was heralded by Baron
Lucien de la Rochelle, and will be reported on by him. During the Royal
Court, Their Majesties did bid Baron Geldamar and Baroness Etain to open
Their own Baronial court to conduct some business.
Their Excellencies of Nottinghill Coill did command Their herald to open
court for the last time.
After some words to the populace of welcome, Their Excellencies did call
forth Lord Darius of Brockore Abbey, and present him with the Award of
the Golden Cord for his service to the Barony.
Sir Axel of Tavestia, Viscount of Drachenwald, was invited into court,
where he presented Their Excellencies with a gift basket in appreciation
of Their hospitality and friendship over the years.
Their Excellencies then invited Their Cousin, Baroness Adendra of Hidden
Mountain, to come into Their court, where she also presented a gift
basket of items of relaxation.
The Baronial Champions were summoned forth, and were thanked for their
service to the Barony. After releasing each of them from service and
retrieving the champion regalia, each of them was inducted into the
order of the Coill’s Champions. The retiring champions are as follows:
Armored Champion: Syr Afshin. Rapier Champion: Lord Elphin ap
Daffyydd, Archery Champion: Lady Rohesia of Thessalonika, Arts and
Sciences Champion: Lady Milicent Shively, Equestrian Champion: Baroness
Beatrice Von Staufen, and Youth Archery Champion: Erik Hawkins.
Their Excellencies then summoned Lord Saben before Them, where Lord
Saben was thanked for his service to the Barony and to Their
Excellencies, much of it behind the scenes, and was thus given the Award
of the Golden Cord.
Mistress Brig ingen Erennaigh was called before Their Excellencies, and
thanked for her service to the Barony in reviving the Baronial Scrolls
and leading the effort to get scrolls done in time for courts. Baron
Geldamar was pleased to present her with his Baron’s Award of Excellence.
Their Excellencies then called Dame Morwenna Trevethan, Baroness Delia
The Flammable, Lady Millicent Shively, Lady Tamura, Lord Felipe de
Pamplona, Lord Elphin ap Daffydd, M’lord Tristan, and Lord Cian mac
Ceallachain Ui Dubhlaich before them. Thanking them for their service
to the Barony and to Their Excellencies especially, Baron Geldamar and
Baroness Etain presented each with a pair of woven garters in Their
Excellencies’ personal colors.
Timing it just right, Their Excellencies waited until Baroness Delia and
Lord Ephin were just getting back to their seats before calling them
back into court. Baron Geldamar and Baroness Etain spoke of all the
support that Elphin and Delia have given to them and to the Barony, and
thus were pleased to award them with the Coill’s Guiding Beacon. They
were presented with a pair of matched scrolls done in gold leaf by
Mistress Brig which were absolutely beautiful to behold.
Finally, Their Excellencies did thank the populace for the honor of
serving as the Baronage for the past three years. The herald then
closed Their court for the final time, and Their Excellencies of
Nottinghill Coill, Baron Geldamar and Baroness Etain, returned Their
coronets to the safekeeping of Their Majesties and stepped down from the
thrones of Nottinghill Coill.
