This is not an event. This is a limited opportunity for 6 people to explore
my period scribing classes. If this goes over well it will be repeated on
demand.
Please do NOT discuss this on the open list. Please, contact me at Artist AT
Geffrei DOT com I will give you my phone number as a reply to a request from
it if I can not answer your questions by e-mail.
Folks need to be aware of my American Long-Hair cat. It's July he will shed.
Cat dander exists. You will not likely see him as he is very, very shy.
Class limit: 6 (I only have 6 chairs folks can use to sit at a table in. I
can accommodate up to 10 if someone brings their own folding chairs.) Age
limit, parents may supervise mature teens that are also paying students.
Date July 12-14
Place my house: 110 Denby Dr. Winston-Salem, NC 27107 1 guest bedroom, a
couch and a cot and floor space are what is available here for spending the
night. Tents don't fit in my yard for camping.
Cost $20.00 This gets you period ink, a quill, period carbon paper, paint
swatch card, some pigments and a lot of information on a handout CD. It
helps cover the cost of my supplies and tools.
Food costs to be determined by the group. (Pot-luck, pizza, whatever.) I
will have tea and coffee as part of class fees as these are necessary for me
and at least appreciated by some.
Syllabus/Schedule:
The vast majority of the time will be student participation. I am not going
to be giving extensive lectures. It is not the way I teach. I want
paintbrushes in people's hands as much as possible.
Unless discussed with me ahead of time, students will only be using powdered
earth pigments (read processed dirt.)
FRIDAY evening Quills and Oak Gall Ink (Start around 6:30 SCAdian time)
SATURDAY all times are flexible

the fee. Merchant booth is just in case you get hooked on this stuff.)
