Thanks for all the responses!  I got a lot of good information and 
insight on the Family Cap issue.

It turns out, it's a moot point for this event.  Since it wasn't 
discussed by the Baronial financial committee during the bid process, 
and it wasn't listed on the event flyer, we can't do it.  Which makes it 
a real simple solution.

But now I know what to consider next time I put in a bid!
