Greetings to the fair populace of Nottinghill Coill, and friends of the
Barony,
It is without further ado that I announce this year's archery champion
challenge. Bring your arrows and bring your bow to compete in a Mongolian
themed archery shoot. *Archers of all skills levels and areas
of archery interest are encouraged to shoot* to vie for the honor of being
honorarily named a "Descendant of Khasar." Or shoot for some really neat
prizes. Shiny!
Here are the rules:
Each archer will take turns by shooting one arrow at a designated target
and the winner of each round is whose arrow is closest to the center of the
kill spot. Any player who misses the target completely is eliminated from
the game and will be known as a *conscript*. (But you won't go home empty
handed; remember, shiny prizes!) There will five rounds, one for each
letter of the word C O I L L, and a special final round played by the
semi-finalists at a traditional Mongolian target. The winner of the final
round will be named “Descendant of Khasar.” Those who are 2nd, 3rd and 4th
will known as a *Spirit of Esunge* and those who didn't miss but also
didn't advance to the finals will be known as *Mergen, *which roughly
translated means *Mongolian *Sh*arpshooter.*

Don't know shoot archery but want to know more about all this talk about
Mongolian related things? Then please come out to the archery field, cheer
on contestants, and learn a little bit of Mongolian history.
In service,
Lady Rohesia
P.S. If you are interested in becoming the next Baronial Archery Champion
you must submit a letter of intent to the soon-to-be excellencies Takeda
and Arielle at barontakeda at yahoo.com and gillasd at bellsouth.net
