Noble Friends,

At last the results are in! The skeleton found under the car park in Leicester IS the mortal remains of Richard III, King of England (however briefly): http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-21063882 . The DNA tests match those of a 17th generation descendent, the bones show wounds mentioned in contemporary accounts, the individual suffered from scoliosis, and the skeleton was found buried near the altar area of Greyfriars church in Leicester as old accounts claimed ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greyfriars,_Leicester ).

Be sure to view the slide show/video as well: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-21282241 . Very interesting views of the skeleton and some of the wounds.

Richard is to be reburied in Leicester Cathedral ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leicester_Cathedral ; see the second paragraph). A memorial stone to Richard already is in place there. This raises an interesting question. The cathedral is Church of England. Richard was, of course, Catholic. Will there be joint services of some sort? Stay tuned for more on this story.

Yours Aye,
Lord Mungo Napier, The Archer of Mallard Lodge
