Noble Friends,
Researchers have determined that Geoffrey of Monmouth's HISTORY FO THE KINGS OF BRITAIN was penned at St. George's chapel in Oxford. This includes the Arthurian "history" upon which the whole legend was based, and is thus the foundation for all the later books poems, and yes, movies (Think Sean Connery in FIRST NIGHT). Geoffrey was a canon at Oxford during the period he wrote the work, and was employed as a teacher. St. George's was an important part of the university teaching system at that time. Sadly, the chapel was later demolished, but the chapel crypt survives.
