A History of Woad - Jeanmaire du Domrémy
A short history of woad, from Neolithic times up through the end of the
Renaissance.  Also discussed will be its various uses, with an emphasis on
its use as a dyestuff, and the method by which it was processed.

Bees in the garden - Lorelei Greenleafe
The historic (and current) use of bees for plant cultivation, honey and
mead production.

Coiled Baskets - Annora Hall
A hands-on class teaching the construction of coiled baskets.  I bring the
pine needles, sinew, sewing needles and Gage's; you bring your scissors and
willing hands.  Once our baskets are started, I'll share the history and
uses of this flexible basket form.

Colors to Dye For! - Yllaria Leyenthall
An overview of different plant materials and techniques used in natural
textile dyeing. Emphasis will be placed in locally obtainable vegetation.
Dyed samples will be available for viewing and informational handouts will
be given to attendees.

Herbs and Spices of Islamic Spain and the Maghreb - Ealasaid MacDonald
Basic introduction to the herbs and spices used in Islamic Spain and Morocco

Kudzu, the amazing vine - Suzanne Morris
The multitude of uses for kudzu, including food, mulch and animal feed

Oh My Gourd - Suzanne Morris
Medicinal and culinary uses of gourds in period and currently.

Spice and the Humours - Murienne l'aloiere
We will go over a chart of period spices and herbs and their corresponding
humour (Yellow Bile, Black Bile, Phlegm, Blood). We will discuss the
attributes of the spice or herb that connects it to the humor (hot, cold,
dry or moist).
And we will cover a bit of info on how they  herbs and spices were used in
cooking to promote health.

Soapmaking 101 - Isabelle LaFar
This class will cover the basics of (lye-based) soap-making and milling.
