My Lords and Ladies! Barons and Baronesses! Masters and Maestras! Sirs and
Populace, From Rowan of Hawkridge, Greetings!

Though Fair Nature is still capricious, showing us the beauty of spring,
then turning a cold shoulder, even on the shores of the Black Sea in Mother
Russia, the days lengthen and grow warmer!

Join the Fair Canton of Kappellenberg on May 11th for a day of Merriment
and Mayhem (fun mayhem, Marshalled Mayhem.)

We have many amusements arraigned for your... amusement. There will be
tournaments both of the Heavy List and the Rapier. There will be Archery.

Lady Merwenna has arrainged an Arts and Sciences Competition to please the
wit, and delight the eyes.

There will be Games, both board games and lawn games. There will be a
Maypole! There will be commedia! There may be puppets!

There could be dancing!

There will be a Russian Style feast prepared by Margaret Cochrane.

Alas the revelry only lasts a day, there is no camping.

Yours, in Service
Rowan of Hawkridge
Autocrat

p.s. There is NO TRUTH to the rumors of unrest amongst the apprentices.
They should be grateful for what they get from their Illustrious Peers, and
if they want cookies, they should research period recipes, and grind the
flour and harvest the sugar, and raise the chickens and make them
themselves!
