The residents of Smeewick, a lovely town situated within the territory
held by the Baron of Lochmere, Duke Galmr Ingolfsson and his Baroness,
Eydis Herjolfrsdottir, were successful in their attempt to punish the
bandits and thieves infesting the environs and causing much trouble to
the townfolk with raids and incursions. Indeed they were so
successful that His Excellency was minded to reward some of His
populace. With that intention in mind, the Baron and Baroness of
Lochmere held court in Their town of Smeewick.

In His opening remarks Duke Galmr thanked the populace for attending
court and for their successful thumping of the bandits. He also
remarked on the lovely weather, something which sent a shiver of
terror down many spines as all too often when Their Excellencies of
Lochmere visit Smeewick on Their spring progress the weather has been
dreadful with cold, rain and mud as far as the eye can see. Such was
not the case this time and many a resident muttered a swift prayer of
thanks.

The Baron and Baroness first called forth Lady Genevieve Dampier du
Marche. They were pleased to award her the Order of the Blasted Oak
for her many services to the Barony. A lovely scroll accompanied the
presentation.

Brandi of Lochmere was brought into court and awarded the Order of the
Eagle's Feather for her musical talents and the joy her singing has
brought the Barony. A beautiful scroll was given Brandi to record the
award. [note: awardee does not an OP listing]

Next Their Excellencies requested the presence of THL Alric the Mad
before Them. For his prowess on the battlefield, Lord Alric was
awarded the Order of the Crab's Claw. The Baroness was pleased to
bestow on Lord Alric a handome scroll to commemorate the award.

Linhart von Marburg, for his outstanding rapier work during the
recently accomplished Thief Thumping, was presented with the sash of
office and made the Barony of Lochmere's rapier champion.

Court was temporarily closed and all adjourned to the feast hall to
partake of the excellent dinner prepared by the finest of the
Baronly's many amazing cooks. Following the hearty repast, Their
Excellencies reopened Their court briefly to thank the cooks, kitchen
helpers and all who had helped serve dinner. They then called Lady
Erennach the Lost before Them and awarded her the Order of the Eagle's
Feather for her many stellar accomplishments, not the least of which
was producing the dinner just enjoyed by all. Lady Erennach received
a lovely scroll from Their Excellencies.

Their Will accomplished, the Baron and Baroness of Lochmere bade the
populace enjoy themselves and closed court.
