Upon a fair and surprisingly warm and dry morning did Tsar Vladimir and
Tsaritsa Kalisa hold court upon the field in Their beloved Barony of
Marinus.

After greeting the populace in attendance, Their Majesties called forth
Mistress Adriana la Bretonne and Master Callistus Gill, Baroness and Baron
of Windmasters' Hill. Her Majesty then bestowed upon them Her Queen's Order
of Courtesy in recognition of their unfailing courtesy to all, especially
while fulfilling the taxing duties of the territorial baronage.

His Majesty Vladimir then summoned forth several present and former
seneschals of Atlantia. His Majesty spoke eloquently of how sitting the
throne had driven home to Him how difficult indeed was the task of steering
the ship of state of Atlantia and how skilled and dedicated must the
seneschals be who were willing to undertake that weighty task. He then
bestowed upon Master Alan of Gravesend, Mistress Alesia Gillefalyn and Sir
Bryce de Byram His King's Award of Excellence.

Her Majesty then bestowed Her Award of the Undine upon Baroness Tyra
Jonsdatter and Duchess Seonaid ni Fhionn for their many and varied services
to Her in the course of the reign.

Her Majesty immediately thereafter called forth Master Áedán Aylwyn, Sir
William Shopp Ratt and Lady Ysane de la Selle to thank them for their
devotion and present each of them with Her Award of the Undine.

Her Majesty also presented Her Award of the Undine to Master Christopher
MacConing, Countess Kari Kyst, Rhonwen verch Tuder and Alyna of the Ilex.

Finally, His Majesty called forth Master Flaithrí Ó Cearnaigh to thank him
for his dedicated service and bestowed upon him His King's Award of
Excellence.

At this point there was an interruption to court as His Highness entered the
court in full armor and with an entourage of armed retainers to demand his
rights as heir to the throne, calling on Tsar Vladimir to step down in His
favor. The Tsar replied that he thought it right that He should reign a bit
longer as His Highness was yet young and too inexperienced to protect the
realm. His Highness then challenged the Tsar to meet Him with His armies -
heavy and rapier - on the field in the course of the day so that Prince Amos
could demonstrate his ability to lead and to defend the kingdom by defeating
the armies of the King led either by His Majesty or by His lieutenants. His
Majesty agreed to this challenge thereby making the kingdom the stake in a
grand conflict of armies.

Thus ended the morning court of Their Majesties Vladimir and Kalisa, Tsar
and Tsaritsa of Atlantia.

To these actions I bear witness and testimony as herald for the Tsar and
Tsaritsa upon this day,

Alisoun
