Rather than simply re-print the announcement for this event, I thought to add some bits of information that will make this an easier event to plan for, since many of you have never been to this site. So here are a few key pieces of information for you, if you are planning to attend:

1) This is a primitive site. That being said, please plan to bring water containers and lighting capability. It gets dark out there. And plan to take out any garbage with you when you leave.

2) The list field will be located about 300 yards from the camping area. That means that we are allowing day shades on the list field only. Camping will be located in the camping area and if you are planning to fight in Crown, you may want to bring a cart to bring your gear to the field. We will allow vehicles to unload and set up the day shades around the list, but we will then ask you to move your vehicle to the designated parking areas. The field overlooks a beautiful lake and wooded area and we are striving for an authentic looking medieval list. We cannot achieve that if we are looking over the back of a GMC Sierra! Thanks for helping us maintain the illusion.

3) The feast "hall" will actually be a 20x60 foot pavilion. This will also house A&S, as well as any other things happening during the day. It will be located near the camping area. However, in case of inclement weather, we may be forced to move inside the stable area, which will contain clean hay and straw. If you are allergic, this may pose some problems. Just wanted to let you know ahead of time.

4) There are restaurants located within 10 miles of the site, but you may find it easier to bring food to snack on. Also, since there will be no available "kitchen" please plan to take your feast gear home in a plastic bag for cleaning. The feast itself will be cooked on an outdoor set up and there really will be no available sink to wash dishes in.

5) Since it will be spring and the site is wooded, ticks may be a problem. Please bring your bug spray.

6) Finally, ACCEPS is currently open for reservations but will close on 15 April. Please note that feast can only be purchased via ACCEPS (to avoid over selling of seats) and since there are only 96 available feast spots, I anticipate them going fast. If you do not do ACCEPS but wish to purchase a feast seat, please contact me directly and I will work with you.

Many other questions can be answered at our event website, http://crown.atlantia.sca.org, to include information on field reservations, feast, A&S and more. Please feel free to contact me directly however, if you have specific questions or concerns.

YIS,
Baroness Katharine de la Vache
Event Steward
