Greetings fair Kingdom!
Please continue to make plans to attend our Fall Crown Tournament held
in Windmaster's Hill. The event flyer is available at the Atlantian
Calendar of Events and includes information on A&S, the feast menu,
ACCEPS information, martial activities for the day, and the hotel
information. See below for full details of the Poetry competition
sponsored by the Poeta Atlantia, Lady Katarzyna Witkowska, to be added
to the event flyer in the coming days.
A schedule of events for the day will be available at the site on the
3rd and should be posted on the event flyer as the date draws closer so
everyone can plan accordingly.
Some question was raised about camping at the event._*There is no
camping at this Crown event.*_ The site will be open at 5 pm on Friday
for people to come set up pavilions around the field. Those who come to
set up need to be certain they have contacted the Fieldocrat, Master
Gaston du Valmont, beforehand to reserve space around the field. I will
be on site all night Friday to oversee and keep watch on people's
belongings but ONLY the field section of the site is open to us on
Friday evening. The site closes Saturday evening at 10 p.m.
As always, do let me know if there are any questions! Please cross-post
to the Merry Rose and any other local or relevant lists!

The Poeta Atlantiae is sponsoring a poetry competition for Crown
Tournament on November 3. Poems should be written in a documented
medieval style. The theme is Chivalry -- either in the SCA or in a
medieval context. Documentation is requested but not required to
enter. This would be a good opportunity to prepare an entry worthy of
display at Kingdom A&S and get comments and suggestions for
improvement. A short form documentation form exists on the Poeta
Atlantia website, along with a sample of the judging requirements --
http://poeta.atlantia.sca.org/fnc.htm . The Poeta will accept emailed
entries from those who are not attending. These must be received no
later than October 4, 2012 mailto:poeta at atlantia.sca.org
Children ages 12 and under are also encouraged to enter this
competition. No documentation will be required from children; however,
any form of documentation will earn extra points. Children's entries
may also be emailed -- if they are not attending.

Greetings to Sajah bint-Habushun from the Poeta Atlantiae!
I am writing to enquire if I may hold a Poetry Competition at your Crown
Tourney. The subject matter of the poems would be "Chivalry" and poems
would be written in a period style. There would also be a separate
category for children 12 and under.
Best regards,
/Lady Katarzyna Witkowska/
