Greetings Fair Kingdom!
As letters of intent begin to be drafted also consider sending notice to
the Fieldocrat, Master Gaston du Valmont at (blackbirdxlvi at gmail.com
<mailto:blackbirdxlvi at gmail.com>), to request space around the field for
your pavilion. Please include size with ropes and request neighbors if
you wish to spend the day next to brothers and sisters in arms. Please
note not all requests can be guaranteed given the constraints of space
but efforts will be made to accommodate - so request early as you are
more likely to find the space flexible enough to succeed!
Also, do not forget the block of hotel rooms reserved for us at the
Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites, 5630 Dillard Dr, Cary
(http://www.holidayinn.com/hotels/us/en/cary/rducy/hoteldetail ). It is
approximately 10 miles north of the site and they are expecting some Fr,
some Sat, and some Fri-Sat reservations. Call (919) 851-1220 and tell
them you are reserving a room in the Atlantian Crown Tourney block. The
room rate for two dbl/single king is $89 per night. The rate for the
same beds with suite room is $99 per night. They are holding rooms until
October 18 but reserve soon as the hotel is filling up quickly due to
other activities in Cary that weekend. Guests receive 10% discounts at
a number of surrounding eateries and the hotel is convenient to both
shopping and the freeway.
For those who wish to camp on Friday evening there is space for that but
you MUST contact the Fieldocrat, Master Gaston du Valmont at
(blackbirdxlvi at gmail.com <mailto:blackbirdxlvi at gmail.com>), and let him
know so that he can plan accordingly. We do not have the entire site on
Friday evening so camping must be set up under his supervision. Thank you.
Please keep in mind the A&S competitions that will be going on including
a banner competition sponsored by HRM Kalisa II to be held on the field
as well as Tempora Atlantia, a poetry competition, and both Period and
SCA-created favors competitions sponsored by the autocrat.
Feast spots are limited due to the size of the hall. Please put in your
reservations as early as possible! This can be done through ACCEPS or by
sending a request and fees directly to the reservationist, Lady Jdeke
von Kolberg (Robin Leguillow), 1302 Castalia Dr, Cary, NC 27513.
Merchants are welcome - please send me an email to request space
at (hippopotamama at hotmail.com <mailto:hippopotamama at hotmail.com>).
There will be children's activities during the day so please bring our
future kings and queens that they, too, may enjoy the day!
If you have any questions about the day's activities please do not
hesitate to send me an email and ask. And do cross post this as needed!
