[MR] Account of the Royal Court at War of the Wings VII

Greetings unto the Kingdom of Atlantia,

I present the account of the Royal Court of our Tsar and Tsarista - Vladimir
and Kalisa II that was held at War of the Wings VII on the grounds of
Elchenburg Castle in the Barony of Sacred Stone, Saturday the 13th of
October, 2012 - AS47.
Our Majesties were joined in Great Court by a majority of the landed
Baronage and special guest Cesar Krotuas Horatius Floridus - King of
Trimaris.  A large number of the over 1000 event attendees were present to
witness the business conducted.

Newcomers were summoned and a large wave of lovely individuals came forth to
be greeted personally by our Crown and thanked for taking this first step in
enjoying all that the society has to offer.  

A presentation was made by two children that had come to the event
especially for a wedding.  Adam and Karen gave their majesties a beautiful
hand basket with embroidered cover.  The children were then joined by the
other children of the kingdom (many) and allowed to participate in the great
hunt for the toy bearer.  Their skill was evident and smiles were abundant.

Their Graces Bryan and Brianna was called forth to accept a gorgeous scroll
recognizing their Ducal achievement and was accepted by Duke Bryan as his
wife was preparing the State Dinner to follow court.  

Lord Tom the Drum Builder was summoned forward to receive his woven
medallion and scroll for his induction into the Order of the Pearl that was
done in absentia at Sacred Stone Baronial Birthday by Brian and Brianna II.
Tom had been busy with his many crafts and eluded capture until now.  Duke
Bryan came forth and spoke the accolades that had resulted in his
recommendation by the Order and further reasons they chose to recognize him.

Our Tsar now commanded that Great Officers of State that had not previously
swore fealty, do so now and put our shiny new Kingdom Seneschal and our
Triton Herald under his control. Baroness Rozsa Bessenyei was held in court
and thanked for her courage to take on the role of Kingdom Seneschal.  She
was further recognized for her service to the Queen with an Undine.  

The Order of the Chivalry was summoned and thanked by the Tsar for attending
to a training activity with the army earlier in the day.  They pledged their
support to improving the fighting prowess of our forces.

m'lord Carrick MacManus was requested and recognized for many fine works by
elevation to the ranks of the nobility with an Award of Arms.

Lady Aine O Grienan was summoned forward to perform inductions into the
Pages Academy for Alexander and McKayla.  Lady Murienne l'aloiere and Master
Achbar ibn Ali are serving as the sponsors.

Lady Suzanne de Cloptunne was asked to come forward and be recognized for
her Arts and Sciences efforts with a Coral Branch.

Lord Felipe de Pamplona was ordered forth to be recognized for his rapier
skill with a Sea Dragon.

The Steward for WoW - Lady Murienne was called forward to present her report
and thanks for making the event a great success.  Details are to be released
by her in a separate missive and will be posted to the event website.  She
announced that the war was won by the Barony of Nottinghill Coill and its
allies, although the Barony of Marinus and her allies gave them a heck of a
fight!  Excellent service to the event was provided by both sides and
greatly appreciated.  
In that the claims that led to the challenge of war still had to be
addressed by the Crown, the Royal Babysitter - Master Christopher Cunning
was brought forth with the "love child" now a ward of the state.  Our wise
Tsar decided that Baron Geldemar bore a strong resemblance with strikingly
similar moustaches and other attributes, so he was awarded custody.  A
shocked Baroness Etain simply shook her head and muttered something about
diaper changing being his responsibility! Their Excellences Marinus will
have visitation rights.  The formally feuding principals of this war found
friendship again and exchanged deserts and other goodies to be enjoyed.

Lord Gisli of the privateer ship Blackbird came forth and presented his
"payment" for safe harbor in Atlantian waters and reported excellent
"donations" occurring on the high seas from the vessels of other kingdoms.
Cesar of Trimaris made note that he has had a problem with his ships being
robbed near our waters and wondered if the events could be connected.  Our
Tsar assured him that if any of our loyal "salvage experts" were involved,
it must have been a misunderstanding!  The topic was redirected by noting
that Atlantia will be fighting as an ally of Trimaris at Gulf Wars.  Cesar
was very happy and did not pursue the shipping problem further.  The Tsar
thanked Lord Gisli and told him to keep up the good work - wink wink!    

m' lady Victoria of black Diamond was next called to receive a Coral Branch
for her fine works with Arts and Sciences and welcomed her to the nobility
as a Lady.

Lady Alessandra Sartor was summoned to be recognized for her fine A&S
efforts with a Coral Branch.

m'lady Astrid del Grenewode was called forth and questioned about her new
short haircut with an explanation that she had donated her cut off her locks
to raise money for children's cancer research and that the hair would be
used for wigs they can wear during treatment until their hair grows back.
Our crowns praised this effort and others that are making similar
contributions for such worthy a cause.  Astrid was now addressed about the
hard work she has been doing in the kingdom and praised for quality efforts.
She was then raised to the nobility with an Award of Arms.

Lord Michael Wymark was now summoned to address charges that he has been
doing exceptional work benefiting the kingdom and was recognized with an
Opal for his efforts.

Lord Reinmar the Alchemist was directed to appear and praised for his good
equestrian efforts and dedication to the program with a Quintain.
       
Master Terafan was now summoned to report on a challenge between him and the
Tsar over issues of law that Master Terafan hold dear as our Clerk of Law.
It seems that he had challenged the Tsar to a riding competition at
Coronation.  In that the Tsar did not feel up to riding at WoW, he appointed
a Champion - Lady Nem Inghean Dochartaigh, the Deputy Earl Marshal for
Equestrian to ride in his place and answer the challenge.  Master Terafan
praised her efforts, but declared that technicalities prevented the score
from being settled satisfactory, so the challenge will have to play out at a
later time.  Lady Nem was present during this exchange and was then joined
by Lord Alain de la Rochelle.  The Tsar noted that of the three, one was not
like the rest and decided that the difference was that she was flanked by
members of the Order of the Golden Lance and not one herself.  Our Tsar
ruled that she too would be a member of this elite Order, great satisfaction
was expressed by all assembled.   
       
Thus with peace restored in the lands, Great Officers now under control,
custody matters settled and many a fine gentle recognized for their efforts,
court was closed and great revelry commenced.
