Oyez! Oyez! Herein lies the most recent (and hopefully unchanging) Rapier fighting schedule for War of the Wings VII.

Thursday opens our war with a day of fun and play. Her Excellency Baroness Etain is hosting the Earlybird tourney beginning at noon, when MoL opens. Come, get inspected, get authorized, get your rapier on. Come and meet your fellow early-on-siters. Following this tourney, at approx 1:30-2, is the new (at least to me) Highlander tourney. Bring your best in a game of single weapons where only fatal head shots count. A Dice tourney follows that at around 3. Take a chance, throw the dice and fight with what the fates give you. Finally, to round out a great day thusfar is the Neverending melee. Like the Movie of the same name, only with more stabbings and less Atreiu, it's truly a last man standing event. If you have never partaken of such a wonderful event, please do come out and give it a try. Just remember who killed you.

Friday promises more fun and pageantry as the list field opens promptly after Procession for authorizations and inspections. The Rising Star Tourney, sponsored by THL Elphin ap Daffyd and His Excellency Baron Lucien de La Rochelle, is INVITATION ONLY. If you don't have an invitation, get one now. See your favorite White Scarf. If you are not fighting in the Rising Star, there will be pickups a plenty until the Rapier 101 class: Melee for newbies (and those that could use a refresher) presented by the Marx Bruders at 2pm. Pick up some new skills, knock the rust off your team fighting techniques, as these esteemed gentles prepare you for the War that is coming on the morrow. Seriously, if you are new to melee, or just would like a refresher on what it is to be part of a team or on the line, please come and participate. All levels of experience are requested. At 3pm the field opens to the 5 man melee tourney in the ruins. That's right, in the ruins. Don't
ask me why you're fighting over the fallen walls of a city long past and forgotten, I just know it'll be a ton of fun, and bragging rights for winning such a tremendous feat will last far into the evening. This is a good time to test your newfound skills and understanding from the class just prior. (You did attend, didn't you?) Finally, to wrap the day up, THL Wistric Oftun is hosting a Cut and Thrust Torchlight Pas at dusk. Or close enough to dusk (7pm)  to warrant torches.

Saturday ushers in a day full of fighting and War, beginning with the Novice tourney, sponsored by THL Greylond Crow. If you have never won a tourney, and have been authorized for less than two years, here is your chance to shine. Mol opens at 10, and the Novice tourney begins at 11. Noon sees us to War. The famed woods of Elkinburg Castle finds itself in contention once again as the sister baronies of Marinus and Nottinghill Coill settle their recent quarrel in an epic battle for cookies. Or some such. Anyway... This year it seems some wayward, Wandering Turnip Farmers have staked a claim on the lands of battle. There's no telling just what they'll do when the warring Baronies come to trample the ground, and their precious turnips, underfoot, but I promise you it will be fun to find out. If you have still not had your fill of fighting, there is a Blacksword tourney to be had at 3pm. Bring your best form for this single pass, single elim tourney.
Pickups, teachings, beatings, etc. to follow until 6pm.

Also, MiT's take note, Dame Roslyn is teaching a Rapier Marshal 101 class after the woods battle Saturday. IF you need this class, here's your chance. Please, PLEASE, don't make her sit all by her sweet self all alone. Get thee to class!

I hope that this War will prove both fun and tiring to you all. Please feel free to contact me off list, on list, or by smoke signal with any questions you may have. I will be on site Wed. by noon, and will be on the field Thurday-Saturday, all day. Please find me if you need to there, or at camp in the Barony of Hawkwood. I look forward to seeing you all very, very soon!

Yours, in Service to the Dream,
Lord Marius Belisarius
RMiC, WotW VII
