Sir Timoch has sent this letter out to the Knights and Pelicans yahoo groups e-mail lists. Thank you for your patience as we cross-post.

I would also like to add that the weather forecast for Coronation looks very good.

Dear Gentles,
I would like to make you aware of some peculiar rules about the Coronation site, Bayport Scout Camp. Your assistance and support will help ensure that we stay in compliance with the health and safety considerations of the site. Please read on.

Camp Chickahominy was sold a few years ago. Tir-Y-Don used Camp Chickahominy regularly for years. We would like to continue this relationship with Bayport. The Bayport Scout Camp is a potential treasure for Atlantia. We are working on plans to use it for other events. We like our new friend Ranger Joe, and so far, he likes us. We do not want to screw that up.

To that end, we will be on-site a day early setting up signs, marking travel paths and also marking restricted areas. Expect to see paint on the ground. This is done only to insure we respect their restrictions and concerns. It is extra work, but this site is worth it.

Why is there such a strict a vehicle driving and tent-staking restriction? A very long story but, to be brief, that enormous field has five separate sets of septic system field-lines under it. We have mapped it all out and, with your cooperation, we will honor their rules.

Rules:
No driving over the field-lines. (they will be marked) No penetrating the ground more than 12" above the field-lines.
No driving off of the marked roads. (this will keep you safely off of the field lines)

See the event flyer for the rest of the site rules.

Master Jean-Claude is the Field Coordinator, I am the MIC. When it comes to asking what-goes-where on the field, ask us.

Good news: Unlike last time, we will have a one-way road that will loop around most of the field along the wood-line. This should make things a lot more convenient.

More good news: We have a VERY NICE archery field less than 300 yards from the main hall. It is a rifle/shotgun/archery range that is very well maintained and has a picnic pavilion. Signs will lead you to it. You can even drive there if you need to drop off gear. Support the archery community and make use of this great range! See Sir Tnek or Lord Lodwig for the details.

Even more good news: The fighting field will be close to the main hall. Just like last time, we need you to be quick removing your vehicle after unloading. Just like before, if we all play smart, this will work fine. The creation of a separate area to run rapier and heavy concurrently is being worked out. As I write this, I do not know how much list-fence we have, but I will put up what we have and make the field(s) as roomy as possible.

The good news continues! We will have equestrian activities. I am told about 4-6 horses will be there. Master Terafon is running that. If you want to participate in Equestrian activities, talk to him.

Checking in:
1) Stop behind the hall and check-in at Troll.
2) Go to where you will set up a day shade or tent and drop off your gear.
3) Drive to the big parking area at the far end of the field and park.
4) We want everyone to park in the big parking lot.

You must not park behind the hall. We need that for people who are checking-in, for the camp staff, and for emergency access to the field. I do not get to park behind the hall.

You must not park along the main road or any road without permission. This is a fire/emergency vehicle regulation.

If we overflow all of our parking, there is an overflow lot back toward the front of the camp. We will shuttle.

Please disseminate this information to your households and beyond.

Timoch
