[MR] Jester's Tourney II---Support the Troops

Greetings Friends,
I know this is a bit of the last moment to throw this out there. I
mundanely work for a very well known LTL trucking company, Estes Express.
Estes has set up a Support the Troops donation service again this year.
They are offering us free shipping to send our donations directly to the US
Troops serving their country overseas.

While this is not a requirement for attending the event next Saturday, if
you are willing and able to bring something to send to our service men and
women who won't be home with their families through the holiday season.
Please do. I will provide a shortened list of suggested donations. If you
would like me to send you the 2 page list, I will be glad to email it to
you. Also if you are not coming to Jester's Tourney II next Saturday and
would still like to make a donation, stop by any Estes Express and drop it
off. Tell them Kari @ FLO#033 told you about it. I did negotiate with my
terminal to give the SCA's name credit for helping make our stack of boxes
even larger--we take pictures and send them in to be printed in our
internal magazine.

 Top 20--
--Cards & Letters---There will also be a coloring station set up for the
children to color pictures @ Jester's. This will be located in the
children's activities area.
--Beef Jerky/ Slim Jims
-- Powdered Drink Mixes
--Gum/ Hard Candy (individually wrapped)
--Granola bars, dried fruits, trail mixes, power bars, etc
--Body Wash/ Liquid Soap (small or medium sizes only)
--Disposable Hand & Foot Warmers
--Powdered Coffee Creamer (flavored is great!!)
--Lip Balm, Blistex
--Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Floss
--Water bottles, coffee cups, thermos (travel cups with lids)
--Linens, Twin Sheets, Pillowcases, towels, washclothes (tan or green)--new
never been used.
--Prepaid phone cards
--Black or Green duct tape
--Frisbees, hacky sacks, nerf outdoor games
--T-shirts (tan or green) new never been used  ***They are not allowed to
wear UNDER ARMOR brand as it reacts badly with wounds and is
also flammable***
--Small toys and school supplies to hand out to the local children.
--Patriotic, region-specific, or sports related knick knacks to remind the
Troops about home.
--Baby wipes (travel sizes)
--DVD movies (new releases are preferred)


Please keep in mind that this is only the top 20 list. There is a 2 page
suggested donation list that has been supplied. If you have any questions
please don't hesitate to ask. I will also download the list to the facebook
event page.
