[MR] BBC: Vikings in Canada

Noble Friends, especially Vikings,

Today BBC has a brief article on a dig at the site of a Viking trading 
post on Canada's Baffin Island:

is exciting work, and shows how Viking traders interacted (apparently 
peacefully) with native tribes in the New World. The web story parallels 
an article in the current issue of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC which shows both 
native and Viking artifacts from this site.
