War of the Roses
It is the year 1485. The Battle of Bosworth is about to begin. Richard
III (York) and Henry Tudor (Lancaster) have drawn their battle plans and
the sides are marching into position.
A & S competition themes will center around the white and red roses -
with the red Lancastrian rose and the white Yorkist rose. It is also
appropriate per period to use a red dragon for Lancaster and a white
boar for York.
There will be Baronial Court in the afternoon.
There will be Royal Court on Saturday in the morning and the afternoon.
Because we have not had visiting Royals for three years we have a LARGE
backlog of items requiring the attention of our King & Queen. We
understand that long courts can be a test of your patience, but we ask
your gracious tolerance.
This is a WET site. There will be a brewing competition and after the
judging the brewers will be sharing their efforts. The bar will be open
at 4:00 and the camp store carries alcoholic beverages. We ask that you
refrain from using modern containers.
Dogs are allowed, but MUST be on a leash or lead and with their owners
or another responsible adult at all times. If your pet is found without
you or another responsible adult you will receive a warning. If there is
a second occurrence the owner will be asked to leave the event. You are
responsible for cleaning up after your pet at all times. Please do not
leave your dog in your vehicle.
