[MR] Principal for Order of Chivalry?

In what way does a request for info on a newsgroup/mail list involve
the BoD?
For years I keep hearing that mail lists are not official. That
anything "announced" on a list must also be announced in an official
publication to be considered official. No official complaint has been
sent to the BoD. We keep getting told to follow channels and not to
immediately contact the Kingdom Seneschal or other kingdom
representative. Fen seems to be trying to get this problem taken care
of without going to such extremes.
If any individual BoD member wishes to get involved in something he or
she saw on a mail list, that doesn't make it official.
As to the comment that something only a Board of Chivalry can be
called by the King, there are lots of levels of correction than can be
done long before a formal Board of Chivalry is needed. I think this
individual was wishing to solve this problem long before it got to
that level. Even contacting the kingdom seneschal seems to be jumping
a number of levels at this point.
All this individual is asking for is the correct person to contact.
Certainly a reasonable purpose in posting to this list.
If you know the appropriate official to contact, then do so. But in
this case the correct person to contact doesn't appear to be that
obvious.
