15 tick bites from this weekend. They all swelled up and itch like mad! lol lucky me, at least I can find them when they bite. I took the day off from work to visit the doc. Looks like I'm fine, just a reaction to the tick saliva - lucky me. Just have to watch the bites, make sure no rash develops. I've had Lymes disease before as well as Rocky Mt. Spotted Fever. Please take the bites seriously.
GET CHICKENS! They love to eat ticks. :-)

Lyme disease and ticks are both prevalent in Northern Atlantia. I've heard
all sorts of stories and some of them were actually true! The best thing
is to do as Dulcy says - do frequent tick checks after any outdoor activity
- especially events with woods and high grass. The more foliage the higher
the risk. Check your pets as well - they are more likely to bring the
'hitch hikers" into the house than you are.
