[MR] BBC: Henry VIII Letter and Jane Seymour Proclamation Found

Noble Friends,

This is way cool! An actual letter signed by Henry VIII and a 
proclamation dictated by Jane Seymour announcing the birth of Edward VI 
have been discovered in an archive near Manchester. Henry VIII's 1543 
letter calls upon his vassals to raise troops for an attack against 
Scotland. This was the beginning of the "Rough Wooing", a military 
campaign to force a child marriage between Edward and Mary Queen of 
Scots. The attack resulted in the burning of Edinburgh in 1544, as well 
as much more destruction.
