My fellow Atlantians! 

Recently, the SCA managed to settle a longstanding lawsuit against it.  The 
Kingdom of Atlantia played a significant role in helping the Society to 
meet  that financial obligation. It has, however, drained many of the Kingdom's 
 resources. Fortunately, Atlantia's baronies have covered the operational  
expenses of our Kingdom for 2012 and all manner of fundraising activities 
are  already in the works to replenish Atlantia's coffers. But, it is 
successful  events that will prove the driving force to Atlantia’s financial 
restoration.  

We are asking for your support regarding one of those events. 

On January 12, 2013, the Canton of Charlesbury Crossing will be hosting  
Atlantian Twelfth Night. Twelfth Night has long been a celebration of the best 
 and brightest of Atlantia – a grand Yuletide event that gathers hundreds 
of your  fellow Atlantians together in joy and camaraderie! 

In order to serve the Kingdom needs, there is an obvious temptation to  
raise event fees and, therefore, event profits. However, that proves an ever  
increasing burden to Atlantia’s subjects, many of whom are also suffering in  
these difficult economic times. Reducing services and the “pomp” of events 
is  also a lure, but diminishes the Dream for all of us. Rather than resort 
to  either of these options, we are seeking private sponsors for Atlantian 
Twelfth  Night. 

Theater companies rarely cover a production’s costs solely through  ticket 
sales. Instead they reach out to philanthropic citizens, like yourself,  to 
help underwrite the costs of a show and, by doing so, bring art to a much  
broader audience. With your support, we can keep the event fees of Atlantian  
Twelfth Night down and within the means of even the SCA’s most financially  
challenged members. We can do that while also keeping Atlantian Twelfth 
Night  the grand celebration that we remember. And, even with all this, we can 
still  generate a profit for Atlantia, with your help. Please consider 
becoming a  Atlantian Twelfth Night sponsor. 

While we would welcome any donation, sponsors gifting $100 or more will be  
individually listed in the event program. You could opt for a simple 
sponsor  listing of your own SCA name, or “In Memory” of an SCA friend. Consider 
raising  $100 from your SCA household and have it listed, or even a donation 
as a  “Friend” of your branch.
