Noble Friends,
On BBC Wales today there was a brief story about St. Winefride's Well,
an intact middle ages pilgrimage shrine, which will soon allow
smartphone users to access high-definition laser images of the
structure's details. Included with the story are several images showing
amazing detail not normally visible due to the shadows in various
corners. Bangor Cathedral and Basingwerk Abbey will also receive the
technology.

Do take note of those really cool little tents on the left of the lead
photo. These are changing booths for people who wish to imerse
themselves in the well. Hmmm. I wonder who the tent maker was. Wouldn't
they look great at one of our events?
Lady Sarah and I had the honor of visiting St. Winefride's Well at
Holywell, Wales, in 2000. After the Tower of London, it was our favorite
spot on the whole trip. I highly recommend a visit here if you ever
visit Wales.
You can read more about the shrine at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Winefride%27s_Well. The well has its own
web site, but it appears to be down at the moment. A Google search will
turn up many, many other sites related to the shrine.
Yours Aye,
Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
