Well met and greetings!

War is not limited to blades and bows! The artisans battle using their own
talents. Whether you are a novice artist looking to get your feet wet or an
experienced artisan looking for a challenge, there is something waiting for
your talents! There are multiple competitions, classes galore, a plethora
of performing arts, and much more! Stop by the Arts and Sciences area and
you might see a demonstration of brewing, a blacksmith hard at work, or
displays of wondrous and amazing crafts done by your fellow Atlantians!
Meanwhile, the bards will perform on a regular basis in the performing
arts pavilion to stun and marvel all those that pass by. Then, if you're
feeling inspired by all the beauty and talent that abounds, stop by our
classrooms and learn a bit about a craft yourself!
Classes

Classes start on day one and will continue until they kick us out! Our
tentative class list is available on the website!

General Performing Arts

We are currently looking for performers for several of our activities! If

Competitions

As usual, there are many A&S competitions at War of the Wings. Here are
some details for the competitions that you might be interested in entering:



*War of the Wings Backlog Scroll Competition – Must Sign Up in Advance!*

First, you must contact Maistresse Maaline Renard, the current Clerk Signet
(her email address is nikki.r.a.early at gmail.com and she is also available
on Facebook). She will assign a scroll (or scrolls if you wish) and help
you to decide what level scroll you should do. ONLY backlog scrolls that
are assigned by the Clerk Signet will be considered for this competition.



*War of the Wings Pentathlon – Must Sign Up in Advance!*

To enter the Pentathalon, you *must* pre-register your entries.

*War of the Wings Poetry Competition*

Submitted poems should be themed around one of the principle Baronies,
Marinus or Nottinghill Coill, or their heraldry.



*War of the Wings Novice Competition & Youth Novice Competition*

Never stop learning new things! The novice competition is for newcomers and
experienced SCAdians who have learned a new craft or art within the past
year.



*War of the Wings Performing Arts Competition*

*Best Addition to the Herb Garden (Sponsored by the Atlantian Herbal Guild)*

As a fun addition to the festivities, there will be a competition for the
best addition to the Atlantian Herb Garden. Almost anything can be done, be
it decorative, botanical or even (gasp) functional! All Lady Maeve the
Handy asks is that it fit into the garden with a pre-17th century look and
feel.
