[MR] Royal Court Report from Assessments

Although nature attempted to ensure that King's Assessments was not held at
all, the event persevered in the face of strong winds that tore down
pavilions and took power from the site on Friday night.  On Saturday, with
power and water restored, the doughty fighters of Atlantia did gather on
the field for a day of melee training.  Afterwards, Their Majesties chose
to do the following business in Their Court.

The children were called forward to receive toys from the bounty of the
Kingdom's toy chest.  7 or 8 hardy young souls were still present.
Francesca di Corso was summoned to receive a Coral Branch for her work in
costuming, jewelry, painting, and teaching.
The newcomers were asked to join Their Majesties and about 5 received
tokens from Their hands as well as Their thanks for attending and words of
welcome.
Gerard de Beneham (formerly known as Zao en Dian) was awarded the Coral
Branch for his work in costuming and helping others with their garb.
Their Excellencies Aldemere and Juliana opened Their Baronial Court, which
will be reported separately.
Adelric Karl was brought before Their Majesties, who then summoned the
Sergeants of St. Aiden.  He was inducted as their newest Sergeant.
Wennlyan Goch was awarded the Opal for her many efforts on behalf of the
Barony, where she has seldom been seen not attending to some task or other.
Eilionara of Black Diamond was awarded the Coral Branch for her scribal
pursuits.
Maaline Reynard was summoned before Their Majesties.  She stood accused of
having worked for over twenty years in her barony, as seneschal, herald,
archery marshal, teacher, and scribe, not to mention her current
undertakings as Clerk Signet.  The Order of the Golden Dolphin was then
brought forward to welcome her into their midst.
The Knights of Atlantia were invited into court.  Baron Turgeis Haakonson
was then summoned and a writ delivered to sit vigil for Knighthood at the
Pennsic War.

As there was no further business, the court then adjourned and those
remaining on site were treated to a hearty and quite tasty feast prepared
by Adelric.
