Here's an idea. Why don't we buy it. 2000 GBP is about $3100. We all pitch
in and purchase the thing and give it to the museum. But first, we get to
make a casting of it so we can have some Atlantian casting person make
pewter and silver copies of it. We sell a pantsload of them and give the
proceeds to the Kingdom. (less a reasonable fee for the poor casting person
who is doing the grunt work)
1. We get cool stuff.
2. We get money for selling cool stuff.
3. We make international news by buying the thing.
I'm in for $50
can we get another 61 people in for a similar amount? Do we have a museum
type person online who can speak museum to the York people? They'd probably
be happier dealing with a fellow museum person than with me.
