[MR] BBC: Wallace Letter Returned to Scotland

Noble friends,

A rare and important letter from the French King to his agents in Rome 
concerning Sir William Wallace is back in Scotland and will go on public 
display, according to a BBC story: 
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-16530452 . The 
letter instructed the French ambassador to the Vatican to assist Wallace 
with whatever business he had with the Pope. The document will be 
displayed alongside another letter supposedly written by Wallace himself 
shortly after the Battle of Sterling Bridge. The French letter will be 
in Scotland for two years, and may give an important boost to the 
planned referendum on independence from Great Britain.
