Greetings unto the Merry Rose!
There are still plenty of feast spots for the Ponte Alto 20th Birthday
event. (Although some canard opined recently that Ponte Alto is only 5
years old since we were made a Barony on 29 February a leap year stellar
event.) Whether we are 5 years old or 20 years old, this will be an event
that brings back the fun of palio races where your creativity in making your
own hobby horses are only constrained by your imaginations.
Our Queen and our Princess are traveling north to Ponte Alto to celebrate
with us. Come visit with the best Royals of the Knowne Worlde!
This is a going to be a great feast. Lady Elizabeth of Hadley Hall has
crafted a 4 course Italian feast that recalls the splendor of Italy. Her
menu is

in red wine sauce
Insalata di verdura / green salad
Ove ripiene / stuffed eggs
Insalata di cedriuoli / cucumber salad
Secondo Servitio di Cucina / 2nd course from the kitchen
Pollastro arrosto / roast chicken w/ orange sauce
Minestra di riso con zaffarano / rice
Minestra de li sparaci / asparagus
Torta Bolognese / swiss chard and cheese quiche
Terzo Servitio di Cucina / 3rd course from the kitchen
Sardamone / lamb sauté
Cous cous / cous cous
Minestre cocer zucche / squash
Minestre di cavalfiore / cauliflower
Quarto Servitio di Credenza / 4th course from the sideboard
Pizza / layered pastry
Torta bianca / ginger cheese tart
Fette della Cacio / sliced cheeses
Fette della frutta / fruit slices (apples and/or pears)
Master James of Rutland is coming with harp in hand as well. And we are
having plenty of opportunities for dancing at this event. There will be
dancing during the day as well as dancing after the feast. The wonderful
Baron Stefan of Cambion is our dance master - so a good time is assured. The
dance band will be run by Mistress Anne of Carthew and with members of our
former Harp and Drum Corps playing, too. The Barony welcomes any musician
to sit down and join us: we'll share stands, music, and even instruments!
Please come make music.
One of our former Baroness' s - Mistress Caitlyn ODuirnin will help gather
our story-tellers around so we can re-live the history of Ponte Alto using
the tried and true method of "No **** there I was..."
Site restrictions No pets. This is a wet site! No original containers. No
glassware or glass bottles.
We will also have a platter or bucket for anyone wishing to make a
contribution to the Kingdom of Atlantia and Mistress Belphoebe will also be
running a silent auction to raise funds, too.

be part of this celebration are:
