[MR] ISO Information on Tempera on Wood

Greetings to all in the Tavern!

I'm in search of information on the mixture and application of temperas on wood.  I am also looking for documentation relative to various colors and coloring materials for the period of 800-900 in the Viking hegemony (Scandinavia, the Danelaw in England, Iceland, Dublin, etc.) I am also particularly looking for any experience people have had in working with this medium on wood. I have carved an elaborate feast chest with designs adapted from the Book of Kells and other period sources and wish to complete the project with appropriate color. The wood was oiled last year and the oil should be fully polymerized by now.
