[MR] Tir-y-Don Investiture THIS Saturday

This Saturday, the 28th, the Barony of Tir-y-Don will celebrate the fine
work of their Excellencies Jean Claude and Alyna, and then welcome Lord
Matheu and Lady Isabel as Baron and Baroness.  Pay no attention to the
charlatans claiming there will be foul weather!  It shall be a beautiful
day.  

 

Site:  Makemie Woods Camp and Conference Center

          3700 Ropers Church Road

          Lanexa, VA  23089

 

Site opens at 5pm Friday, and closes at 11:00am on Sunday.  There is plenty
of space for camping.

 

The basic schedule for Saturday is as follows:

 

9:00am        Registration opens

9:15             MOL opens 

                   Authorizations begin

9:30             A&S area opens for registrations

10:30           Morning Court

     approx 30mins after court    Baronial Champion battles/shoot

                                                 Combat for all to follow

12:00           A&S competition judging begins 

4:00             A&S judging complete (all entries and displays should be
picked up by 4:30)

5:30             Evening Court

6:30             Feast

      Revelry around the fire bowl after feast

 

Important Reminder: Due to kitchen restraints we are unable to provide lunch
on site.  McDonald's and Subway are the closest for those that need to step
out for lunch.

 

And for those joining us at feast, candles and other such period lighting
will be most welcome!
