Greetings Brewers,
The American Home Brewers Act of 1978 (thank you, Jimmy Carter) gives us
the right to brew up to 100 gallons of fermented beverages per single
person dwelling per year. I'd like to challenge the brewers of Atlantia to
meet that mark. Be it beer, wine, mead, sake, whatever, do you think you
can do it...? (It's my understanding that cordials don't fall under this
law since no actual fermentation takes place, but if you can make a hundred
gallons of cordial this year... yowzah!)
The law does give households of two or more the right to brew 200 gallons
per year, but for the sake of this challenge, let's not put the nuptially
impaired at a disadvantage.
If you think you are up to the challenge of hitting the hundred gallon
threshold, join the Atlantian Brewers Guild mailing list and feel free to
post updates on your progress. You can join the list at the Guild's
website...

If you are a beginning brewer, feel free to contact your local Guild
Inspector for guidance. These gentles are listed on the website under
contacts. You can also post to the e-list with questions and advice.
The prize for meeting this challenge is one hundred gallons of your own
wonderful home brew! We're already four months into the year, so get
brewing, and good luck!
