Well met and greetings!

There will be a Novice Competition at War of the Wings VI this year on
*Saturday
(October 8th)*!

*The overall category of this competition will count towards the A&S War
Point!!!!*
*There will be 2 categories for this competition: Overall & Children (ages
12 and under)*

This is a competition for individuals who have been practicing their craft
for less than a year. This doesn't mean that the entrant needs to be a
newcomer as they could be an experienced anachronist exploring a new area!

*Theme:*
• Novice (defined as having learned the art/science within the past year)
*Rules:*
• Each entrant can only enter once. If you enter multiple items, they are
considered one entry.
• The entrant does not have to be present to enter.
• The entrant must be a novice at the art/science entered.

o Novice is defined as having learned the art/science within the past year.
o If there is a question about novice status of an individual, the final
ruling will be made by the A&S Coordinator.

• Entered items may not have won 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in any other A&S
competitions.
• Each entry must have been created within the past year.
• Documentation is neither required nor graded.
*Judging:*
• Judging will be done by the four judges (one representing each principle
barony).
• If there is a tie, a judging will be done by the A&S coordinator to break
the tie.
*Important Times:*
• Entries will be accepted starting at 9:30 am.
• Entries must be entered no later than 11:00 am.
• Judging will take place between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
• Entries must be picked up no later than 5:00 pm.
• The winners will be announced at court.
