Good morning gentle cousins!
Nice piece of archaeological news from Ireland:
A small rural community in Ireland has been found to have once housed
a Viking winter base, one of only two in Ireland. The Annagassan
site, 50 miles north of the capital, was believed to be the stuff of
mythology and folklore until now....

It is a "virgin site", according to the experts, because nothing
significant has been done to trash the place: no highways, no later
development. There will be a conference of some sort next month where
artifacts will be displayed.
On the same site there's an article about a 7th-century pre-Viking
burial ground discovered in North County Dublin:

Enjoy!
in service,
