The particularly nice thing is that when I heard part of the story this morning I knew the details and link would be on the Merry Rose today!  Once again, thanks for your postings, I certainly appreciate them.

Noble friends,

This morning the BBC posted a story and brief video on the discovery of the first intact UK mainland Viking boat burial. The grave site is located on the west coast of Scotland, and contains the remains of a high-status warrior, with his sword, axe, and other items. The story contains a really nice rendering of what the grave must have looked like before it was covered.
