Brianna, the Triton Principal Herald, the Atlantian College of Heralds,
the populace of Atlantia, and all who read these presents:
Greetings from Cian mac Ceallacháin hUí Dubhlaich, Gordian Knot
Pursuivant herald of the Barony of Nottinghill Coill, and Royal Herald
for the Jester’s Tournament.
On the 19th day of November, Anno Societatis XLVI, Their Majesties Cuan
and Padraigin, King and Queen of Atlantia, did hold a Royal Court in the
Barony of Hidden Mountain, on the occasion of the Jester’s
Tournament event.
Their Majesties were joined in court by Their Excellencies Hidden
Mountain, Baron Thylacine and Baroness Adendra, His Excellency
Nottinghill Coill Baron Geldamar, and Her Excellency Raven’s Cove
Baroness Katharine.
Upon the seating of the populace, His Majesty did greet those in
attendance, inquiring if they had enjoyed the days event. Resounding
cheers were heard throughout the hall from the populace as they
proclaimed their enjoyment. Their Majesties spoke of the fun and
enjoyment that they experienced during the day as well.
His Majesty then turned to the Royal Herald and informed him that They
had business with him. Coming from behind the thrones, a surprised and
nervous Lord Cian mac Ceallacháin hUí Dubhlaich was directed to kneel
before Her Majesty. Queen Padraigin spoke of the archery shoot that
Lord Cian had developed for the event, and how much she and the other
archers enjoyed it. Her Majesty also commented on the Arts and Science
entry based upon those shoots that Lord Cian had entered into the
competition. Noting that it was Lord Cian’s first entry ever into an
A&S competition, the Queen was impressed enough to award him with the
Award of the Silver Nautilus.
Their Majesties did then invite Their Excellencies Hidden Mountain to
open a Baronial Court, which will be reported on separately by Their
Baronial herald.
Following the Baronial Court, His Majesty did then again address the
populace and pointed out several individuals who had authorized at this
event, as well as other gentles who had tried their hand at various
activities for the first time, and noted that He was pleased at the
populace of Atlantia branching out.
Their Majesties then had Caisséne Ingen Fháeláin called before Them.
They spoke of Caisséne’s service, and were pleased to raise her to the
ranks of the nobility by awarding her arms. Loud cheers were heard for
Lady Caisséne!
Lord Hróðgeirr Hrafnsson was then summoned before Their Majesties from
his place behind the thrones of Hidden Mountain. Her Majesty spoke of
Lord Hróðgeirr’s work, and especially his entry in the A&S competition.
She was suitably moved to endow him with the Award of the Silver Nautilus.
Lady Asta Knarrarbringa was called forth from the audience, where she
was congratulated for a job well done not only with the event, but also
with her duties as Deputy Chronicler, and Their Majesties were pleased
to induct Lady Asta into the Order of the Opal. Her Majesty also gifted
Lady Asta with a Coptic bound book.
There being no further business before Them, Royal Court was closed, and
Their Majesties retired to prepare for feast.
At the end of Feast, King Cuan called the kitchen staff into the feast
hall, and complemented them on a wonderful feast. His Majesty informed
Lord Duncan, the head chef, that this was one of the best feasts that He
had attended in 23 years! If that was not complement enough, His
Majesty then awarded Lord Duncan MacEwan atte Mersche the Kings Award of
Excellence.
