In looking at the event announcement for Investiture, and planning what
to pack for Feast/etc ... being a brewer ... the following statement on
the event website was found:
"Alcohol is permitted but only beer or wine in accordance with the
Episcopal Church's rules."
This leads me to ask more questions, than it answered for me, such as:
* Is Cider acceptable? How about Mead? - Both of which being brewed
beverages rather similar to Beer/Wine, just with different sources.
IE, is the restriction against 'hard liquor', or is there a very
explicit 'Beer/Wine only', and therefore Mead & Cider (and Perry, and
Cyser and (the list goes on)) need to be excluded.
* Are there other aspects of the Episcopal Church's rules that need to
be followed? Can homebrew be brought, is it commercial only? The
statement as phrased makes me worry that there is a 'list of rules' we
must be in accordance with.
Siegfried - Worried about getting the site in trouble if he shows up
with a bottle of Mead.
