I SCREWED UP MY ANNOUNCEMENT. THE CLASS IS ON THE 13TH NOT THE 6TH. I DID
NOT LOOK AT MY HANDWROTTEN NOTE SOON ENOUGH.
I rarely use the vermillion except when covered with a shellac or period
varnish. When I do use it I label the back. My primary use is for painting
on panel. I avoid orpiment, malachite and azurite basically because they
require a lot more grounding/grinding than my disabilities allow.
For the introductory class. I am going to show how to ground one earth
pigment, Venetian Red. The rest of the class paints are the Aqueous
Dispersion bottles from NaturalPigments.com. They already ground and add
just the right amount of water. To me, that is worth the added price.
I will be teaching as many classes as I can arrange. If I get my act
together ahead of time, I'll try to get it in a Atlantian University
setting.
