[MR] an easier answer - stop wearing coronets

I'm beginning to think there's a better solution to the coronet issue.  

Just stop wearing them!!

Are they something we've worn since the beginning?  Probably.

Are they nice to have?  Yes.

Did I earn mine?  Absolutely!

Is it a controversial idea?  Certainly!

But if they're creating so much confusion and stress that we need to create laws about them then maybe it's just time to do away with them for a couple years until things settle down again.  We don't have to hang on to traditions just because they are there.  Breaking up the routine
is good for most.

I remember when there were other controversies going on some wise person once said “we vote with our feet” meaning our presence tells you whether or not you’re doing a good job.  Well we can be a bit less extreme than
that and just not wear the coronets.

They’re not really necessary.  If you don’t know my rank by now we probably haven’t talked for more than a year yet (as I have never thought of rank as a key focus for anybody) or you’re too new to be worrying about all that anyway. In either case the idea might make some people unhappy but I think overall it would make life simpler for all of us!

Maybe we should even test the idea by having coronet-free weekends! And yes I'm extremely serious!
