Greetings to all those who enjoy our Atlantian poetry!

First, I would like to thank the autocrat, A&S coordinator and all those who
helped me with the poetry competition at the Hidden Mountain Baronial
Birthday! Thanks to a very evil encounter with the Staples online store
finder, I arrived at the event much later than I expected, but many
individuals helped me pull off the poetry competition without a hitch.

The poetry competition was a very special version of 'combat poetry' meaning
that the theme was not announced until the event and the participants only
had a limited time to write their competition piece. The theme for the day
was, "A Pirate's Revelry". Four of our prize Atlantians poets were able to
rise to this challenge in very remarkable ways, Dame Morweena, Mistress
Megera, Lord Christian, and Lady Rosanella. All of the participants were
able to enter beautiful pieces and I hope to hear many of them performed at
future bardic circles.

Our winner for the day, was Mistress Megera! After disappearing from the
event for three hours after finding out the theme for the competition,
Mistress Megera returned with an eight page, iambic pentameter piece
entitled, "The Black Cosair". The piece was extremely well-written and
beautiful, a truly impressive piece of art.

Please join me in my congratulations to Mistress Megera. VIVAT!
