At HRM on 4 June, we will have a tent devoted to fiber arts demos and displays, with lots of artists who've said they demo. Lady Brienna will also demo spinning flax!

We'll have another tent devoted to classes.

Here is an excel version of the class schedule with times and locations, but below is a clear listing of the classes:

TITLE: Pattern Making INSTRUCTOR: Lady Isabella D’Angelo FEE: $1.00
DESCRIPTION: Simple Pattern Drafting (i.e. How to make your own garb without buying out every Joann’s 99 cent sale!)

TITLE: History of Knitting/Beginning Knitting INSTRUCTOR: Masetra Giuliana Salviati LIMIT: 5
DESCRIPTION: A brief overview of history and then hands-on: casting on, knit and purl, binding off. Discussions about types of yarn. BRING: Students should bring US size 6 or 7 needles and some worsted weight yarn (CYCA #4). Wool is preferable but acrylic is OK if they have a wool allergy or something.

TITLE: The Pennsic Medicine Chest INSTRUCTOR: Erich von Kleinfeld, MC
DESCRIPTION: The Pennsic Medicine Chest - An Overview of the things that an Obsessive-Compulsive former Boy Scout takes along in the way of remedies for stuff that happens at Pennsic. NOT a Chirurgeon's kit, but rather those items which you may want to have in camp for personal and family use.

TITLE: Beautiful Bags from Basic Stitches INSTRUCTOR: Lady Amie Sparrow FEE: $5 LIMIT: 8
DESCRIPTION Learn several basic embroidery stitches (tent, stem, split, button hole and running) from which you can make beautiful bags to accessorize garb. I will bring samples to prove it! The focus is on late-period English embroidery. We'll talk about documentable bags as well as the "Creative" side of the SCA. These stitches can also be used to embellish collars, cuffs and coifs. This is a hands-on class, not a lecture. The first 8 people will get kits. Class fee $5.00. (Persons with wool allergies beware. We are working with wool.) BRING: Scissors

TITLE: Paternoster INSTRUCTOR: Countess Rowan
