Greetings Everyone,
I have a few last reminders for those of you planning to come already or just
considering coming out for the Steppingstone Museum Medieval Days this weekend.
-One forecast says 50% chance of rain, another says partly cloudy, we will be
there all weekend rain or shine and will use the barn and permanent pavilion but
if you have a pop-up to bring that would be a good idea
-We will not put out the SCA signs because the museum has added their own signs
at the 2 whole intersections as you approach the site, they say Medieval Days at
Steppingstone Museum and have red arrows
-If you are coming in to set up Sat or Sun morning, your car must be moved by
11am, public hours are 12-5pm both days
-If you are in garb and helping with the demo you can come in free, and yes we
can use some helpers even if you aren't demonstrating a specific art
-There will be a bake sale and modern food vendors during the demo hours and a
pot-luck feast Saturday evening, we will have a grill available but no kitchen,
so bring something to share that is easy to cleanup and your own dishes/mug/etc,
you can also bring your own lunch or items to share on one of the munchies
tables during the day (we try to keep these out of view of the public)
-Bring your camp chair, instruments, music, stories, poems, and a light as
needed to see them by for the small campfire Friday or the large campfire
Saturday night, also the site is discreetly wet in non-public hours
-The Bright Hills Baronial Champions for Heavy Weapons and Equestrian will be
chosen Saturday, if you are interested in competing please report in early to
our MOL under the permanent pavilion
-All SCA and non-pubic participants need to sign in at the Red Pop-Up pavilion
next to the barn door, it will be easy to spot as you enter the site and have
signs saying demonstrator check-in
-This is a great event to invite family and friends to who want to check out
what we do, since it is a public demo they don't have to wear garb and can come
enjoy seeing the arts and fighting and all
I think that about does it, I will have limited email access and phone on silent
during the day tomorrow since I am in a class until 2:30pm, you can send or
leave me a message and I will reply as soon as I can. I will also be on site by
5pm.
Thanks,
Lady Faye de Trees
