Hi Everyone! This is a friendly reminder that Feast of the Saints is fast
approaching on May 13-15! Please try to get your reservations in by Monday
of next week. http://falconcree.org/feastof
Here is a summary of all the wonderful things that Saint Anthony of Padua,
patron saint of lost things, has found for us to do at this event:
Martial Activities: Rapier will begin EARLY at 9:30 a.m.! Prize tournament
is a bear pit; later, lots of fun will be had with an Afflictions
tournament. Armored combat and Archery can also be found later in the day.
This event schedule encourages fighters to participate in both light and
heavy combat!
A&S has three prize categories: Moorish Spain, Fish, Things you Want to
Lose
There will be an Artisan's Row, in lieu of classes. Contact Ceara at
reshtani(at)gmail.com and bring your project to share in a social and
informal setting.
For those who enjoy shopping, we will have merchants, too! Merchants should
prepare to be outside, weather permitting.
Silent Auction: St. Anthony, patron saint of lost things has found "Lots"
of neat stuff to be auctioned. All proceeds will benefit Project Linus, a
non-profit organization that gives security blankets to very ill and
severely traumatized children. Do you remember how important your "blankie"
was to you?
Blanket-o-thon: How many blankets can we make on-site for Project Linus?
Stop by, give a few minutes of your time for an easy project, and we will
find out!
Feast: A Spanish menu is sure to please your palate, and the kitchen
staff, Les Souteneurs de Gloutonnerie (the Pimps of Gluttony) intend to
ensure that you are well fed!
Dancing: Will occur after feast. A bardic may take place in the cool
evening air. Painted Wheel may be there, too.
I look forward to seeing you there!
