correct. the kingdom seneschal addressed, and corrected, that very rumor some time ago on the merry rose. perhaps it bears repeating (not that doing so will ever stop the rumor mill).

Greetings,
The last event I heard that I know of about which that was said was actually turned down for a much more valid reason. After talking to the Kingdom Event Bid Coordinator I was told that it wasn't for being in the outer reaches but b/c the site did not meet the requirements for the event (perhaps it was too small? I can't remember that specifically).

Regards,
Isolda

Telling a group that they are "too far" one way or another is to relegate them to a sort of secondary membership in the kingdom and keep them at a disadvantage in development. Of course, this means that some Coronations, ect. will be much more elaborate and/or well attended than others, but every one should have a chance. When a group turns in the only bid for an event and gets turned down, it's a bit of a slap in the face. If Atlantia is going to claim this territory, then Atlantia should strive to develop it.

Good points. I would add that when a group is turned down for being "too far", it gives her neighbors pause.

My own group is considering a kingdom event bid, but I am hesitant because I do not want to see our people treated that way.

I hope that whatever caused that incident has been corrected.

Cheers
Fen
