Rumors have a way of traveling around the northern reaches of this
kingdom, and those rumors have been reaching my ears.

The two of you, being brewers of some renown no doubt, I will admit.
But I have been hearing that there is some question as to my own skills
at crafting alcoholic beverages that would equal your own.

Hast thou, in the common vernacular, been talking: "smack?"

I would wager that those of my Barony would back me, in knowing that
their Baron is well able to keep his populace 'well lubricated' and
pleasantly happy.

So I put forth to you, bring these allegations, if any, out here, on the
Merry Rose, for all to see and discuss!
