Registration for Sapphire Joust XII, scheduled for May 27-30th, is open and ready!

This year's Sapphire event is the final Sapphire in the 12 year cycle of gem jousts, and we invite one and all to join us in the Barony of Caer Mear to celebrate the passing of the old and prepare to welcome in the new.  To that end, you may pre-register for Sapphire Joust by clicking

Aside from the traditional Sapphire Tournaments, several other tournaments are being planned for both the Armoured and Rapier lists.  Artisans everywhere are encouraged to participate in the three scheduled competitions.  A&S classes will be available as well and a schedule will be produced closer to the event.  In addition, there will be thrown weapons and archery activities as well.

We can accommodate both online pre-registrations with ACCEPS until May 1, 2011, or by regular first class mail, to be postmarked by May 15, 2011.  We cannot accept pre-registrations after May 15th.  ACCEPS registrations for campers have an added step of filling in an online tent registration form, found here: http://caermear.atlantia.sca.org/Sapphire/regform.html
Filling in the tent registration form allows us to give your encampment adequate space, so please remember to fill in this information.  We cannot give space to tents we don't know about.

Group encampments must be registered on or before May 1st, 2011, and can be registered by the Camp Steward by filling out the form at

Cost - the cost for camping and day-tripping is the same:
Adult members (18 and over) - by May 15th: $10.00, at the door: $15.00 (non-members should add the $5.00 non-member surcharge)
Children (10-17) - $8.00 in advance and at the door
Children 9 and under are guests of the Barony.
