Announcing the Atlantian 30-Year Celebration Persona Triathlon
Saturday, September 3, 2011 – Orange, Virginia
The Atlantian Order of the Pearl would like to invite any and all to enter their Persona Triathlon at the Atlantian 30-Year Celebration. We will follow the usual rules as set forth for the Kingdom Arts & Sciences Festival (see “What is a Persona Triathlon” below). Because of the space requirements, the competition categories will have a limited amount of participants. The categories and number of participants are as follows:
· Laurel Category – 10 participants (Yes, you leafy-headed people get your own category!)
· Adult Category – 20 participants (Anyone aged 17-years-old and above who is not a Laurel.)
· Youth Category – 10 participants (Age 16-years-old and below)
Registration / Contest Rules & Information
1. Pre-registration is required. Entrants should complete online registration in order for space to be prepared for entry. (Online registration will be available when the event website is published.)
2. Each entrant will have ½ of a standard 6-foot folding table as a display.
3. All entries must be registered by August 17, 2011 at midnight. Registrations after those dates will not be accepted. (You must register earlier if you have a research paper, see #4 below.)
4. If you wish to enter a RESEARCH PAPER as one of your category entries, research papers must be submitted to Lady Therasa du Domremy at terrybjorklund at cs.com by July 18, 2011 at midnight (i.e. before Pennsic). This will enable your papers to be read BEFORE the 30-Year Celebration. RESEARCH PAPERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AS ENTRIES ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.
5. Each item must have separate documentation.
6. There is no electricity available.
7. The Triathlon organizer is Lady Therasa du Domremy (terrybjorklund at cs.com) 301-262-5142. Call 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Contact her with any questions.
What is the Persona Triathlon?
The Persona Triathlon is a competition where each entrant submits THREE different items that relate to a single persona that a single persona would have owned or used. Your entry does NOT have to be YOUR persona. But the three items need to be for one persona. Each of your three items must be from a different category.
THE CATAGORIES ARE: (items given are examples and are not limited to...)
Studio Arts: examples are - bookbinding, drawing, illumination, sculpture, wood carving, etc.
Clothing and Needle Arts: examples are - bead-work, costuming, clothing accessories, hats, knitting, embroidery, etc.
Pyrotechnica: examples are - armor, ceramics, mosaic, lamp-working, etc.
Domestic Arts and Sciences: examples are - basket weaving, cooking, brewing, toys & games, soap-making, etc.

Contact Lady Therasa du Domremy at terrybjorklund at cs.com to consult about what categories your entries might fall under so that they meet the entry requirements.
