It's called Flight of the Falcon and it's Aire Faucon's
traditional newcomer event.  If you know
someone who would love the SCA, but hasn't had a chance to try it - this is
it!  A day of fun, with something for
everyone.

We'll have fighting (heavy & rapier) with showers
available to clean up after fighting.

There is A&S: advanced displays and 4 (yes FOUR) novice
competitions.  In addition there is a
poetry competition (with TWO divisions) sponsored by our Poeta Atlantiae, and a
Bardic competition (again with TWO divisions) sponsored by the Royal Bard.

There will be classes - 11 different ones so far, one in
negotiation.  And most of them will
happen several times over the course of the day.

There will be vendors selling lovely things - including two that
are completely new to the SCA (look - NEWCOMER MERCHANTS!!)

There will be displays, a medieval living encampment and a
bardic circle after feast.

Feasts is six removes.  What a bargain: a mere $5 for ages 4 - 10, and $7 for ages 11 and
up.  There are only 70 seats for feast,
reserve for guaranteed seating.  (contact
Prudence the Curious to reserve - see below)

There will also be court - and we are part of the Royal
Progress!

So come on by to the latest {and littlest} in newcomer Royal
Progress day events full of FREE fun!!!
