Good gentles of the list, by the way pass me a lager...

I am also a returning SCA veteran, having been out of the game for 10 years.
Upon re-enterring I discocered that as I did not keep my membership active I had to re-authorize and do the training to become warranted as a marshal.
I am currently an MIT with one more event to go on my four training events.
This one has to be outside my region, as I live in Maryland this means going south of Richmond for an event.
As I am keen on this service within the SCA and the dream, (having been a travelling marshal through-out Drachenwald i.e. Italy, Ireland, The Isles, Germnany and Austria).
I have no issue with the rules, although It would be nice not to travel more than 100 miles to complete the authorization, or perhaps travel out of region and MIT a practice instead of an event.
When I joined competent fighters, fighters of renown, squires and Knights were all expected to be Marshals and if so inclined to train and support fighters in their local groups.

So even though it is a long road to travel and seemingly, I choose to travel it.
My only suggestion is that the out of region be relaxed to allow for MIT at a local group and perhaps not an event out of region.

Laird Seanne Alansyn, MIT and "acting" knight marshal Roxbury Mill
